Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about freeze-drying science, meal preparation, ambient storage, pin code shipping, and bulk orders.
Freeze-drying (lyophilization) freezes the food to -40°C first, then removes ice crystals directly under a vacuum without applying cooking heat. This preserves the cellular structure, original shape, vivid colour, and natural flavour. Traditional dehydration uses continuous hot air which cooks the food, turns it tough or chewy, and diminishes natural taste.
